Language Program
One of the founding principles of International School is the importance of all students developing multilingual skills. All students at International School study French for all seven years and have opportunities to develop their full multilingual skills through reading, writing, speaking, and listening opportunities.
In addition to coursework, International School students engage in language and cultural experiences throughout the year that include Déjeuner en Blanc, French Week, the IS Francobee, and the French Exchange for high school students with students and families from Saint Stanislas in Nantes, France.
Students at International School have the opportunity to earn the Seal of Biliteracy either for their French language skills or for the home language development that they bring to IS.
