Snowflake Food Drive

Last week, IS kicked off our Annual Food Drive, running from 12/2/2024 to 12/10/2024! This year, we’re partnering with Hopelink to make a difference in our community. Let’s come together to collect essential items for those in need!  

 

Food Drive Guidelines

Please ensure that all donated items are:

  • Non-perishable
  • Not expired
  • In original, unopened packaging

Most-Needed Food Items

  • Canned meals & meats (e.g., tuna, chicken)
  • Healthy cereal/oats
  • Canned fruits & vegetables
  • Grains (e.g., pasta, rice, quinoa, barley)
  • Soup and broths
  • Shelf-stable non-dairy milk (e.g., oat, almond, soy)
  • Cooking oils, spices, and salts
  • Brown & white sugar (bulk okay)
  • Flour (no bulk, please)

Seasonal Favorites

  • Cornbread, stuffing, & gravy mixes
  • Cranberry sauce, canned yams, pumpkin puree
  • Canned fruit for pies
  • Cinnamon, marshmallows, & sweetened condensed milk
  • Mole (soft pouches/boxes)
  • Nuts: Walnuts, Almonds, Pistachios
  • Coconut milk (canned), canned mandarins, Masa
  • Knorr Granulated Chicken Bouillon

Most-Needed Non-Food Items

  • Baby items: Squeeze food pouches, wipes, diapers (size 4+)
  • Hygiene items: Feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrushes
  • Paper items: Toilet paper, paper towels
  • Household items: Clorox wipes, reusable bags, plastic utensils

The drop off location for each grade level is posted in the HS and MS Teams. Let’s make this Snowflake Food Drive a success! Thank you for your generosity and community spirit. Together, we can spread hope and kindness this holiday season!
